From the sifting of the MP expenses scandal files, to the reams of documents posted online by Wikileaks, raw data has never been as important or significant for the news media, and indeed society, and our panel for the evening is suitably well-versed in these unprecedented ructions. Mark Stephens is a partner at law firm FSI, and is currently representing Julian Assange in his legal battles against extradition; Ben Leapman is one of the three journalists who helped break the 2009 MP expenses scandal; and Martin Moore is the director of the Media Standards Trust.
It’ll be a fascinating night for anyone interested in the media and power, and how the two are clashing in new and controversial ways. For more information and to buy tickets online, click here. We’ll hopefully see you there!
